A Shared Mental Health Clinician (SMHC) can help you cope with your condition or even reduce some of your symptoms. Some conditions could be:

  • Headaches

  • Sleep problems

  • High Blood Pressure

  • Asthma

  • Diabetes

  • Chronic Pain

  • Irritable Bowel Syndrome

Sometimes you may need to better manage your emotions, we can help you with:

  • Anger

  • Anxiety/Panic

  • Grief and loss

  • Depression

  • Stress

  • Other Mental Health or Addiction issues

What are our Services?

Albert Health Services, in conjunction with Cardston Clinic, offers the FREE and voluntary Shared Mental Health Consultation Service to help you when your habits, behaviours, stress, worry, or emotional concerns about life problems interfere with your daily life and health.

SMHC has special training in how your behaviours can relate to health problems. They will work with you and your physician on the connections between your thoughts and feelings and your physical health.

The goal is to help you improve your health!
